Ladys and fellas all the time be askin' me, "Heran, where do you get your sprites?" And I'll tell these people, I tell em, I list the sites in the credits of Knuckles adventure. But these sites, they die. Peeps'll see sprites I've used with stary eyes, full of lust and ambition. On rare cases I send them to those who ask, but in general, it's a bitch. Well... Now that I've got my website and all, they can be hosted for you lucky cats. But there are some guidelines which I must demand are followed:
1. Credit. Credit, credit, credit. Credit, credit, credit, credit, credit, credit, credit, credit, credit. If you ever use even one sprite on any sheet, it is incredibly important that you mention the fella who's work your using. Trust me, it's a hell of a lot easier than doing the work yourself. Mention the right people on your site, on the [comic, animation, whatever], anywhere. I'm not crazy about linking to sites, but whatever.
2. Copywrites. Believe it or not, by using materials from here, your using something that doesn't belong to you. These sprites aren't your work. Even if their customs, they are may be of characters owned by a real company. You can enter by clicking the period after the fourth "credit" in rule #1. Be sure to credit Nintendo or the sonic team where it is due. Some sprites however, like Heran Bago, are not copywritten.
3. Thievery. Don't do it. It's the lowest thing you can do on the internet.
4. Have fun. Try and enjoy what your doing. If not, leave right now.
